This privacy notice explains how ConcordMeds handles personal information through concordmeds.com, the ConcordMeds early-access list, and the ConcordMeds mobile application.
Information collected through the website
If you join the ConcordMeds early-access list, we collect the email address you provide and your consent to receive early-access communications.
The website waitlist is for email registration only. Please do not enter medication names, medical records, diagnoses, health conditions, or other health information into the early-access form.
Our hosting and infrastructure providers may also process basic technical information needed to operate, maintain, and secure the website, such as request and service logs.
Information processed by the ConcordMeds app
When you create a ConcordMeds account, authentication services process information such as your email address, account identifier, and authentication status.
The app may process information that you enter or confirm for a care profile, including medication names, strengths, dosage forms, directions, prescriber or pharmacy information, medication-source information, medication reconciliation status, and recorded changes.
Care-profile information may also include details you choose to provide such as a display name, year of birth, allergies, or health conditions.
Medication document scanning
ConcordMeds can use a photograph or image of a medication document to identify possible medication information for your review. The current app processes the selected image from a local or temporary file path using on-device text-recognition technology.
ConcordMeds does not automatically treat scanned text as an accurate medication record. Identified medication information is presented for review before it is reconciled into the medication list.
The current implementation does not upload the original scanned document image to Firebase Storage. Medication information that you confirm from a scan may, however, become part of your ConcordMeds medication record and be stored as described below.
How medication information is stored
ConcordMeds keeps an encrypted local copy of the medication record on the device so that the latest saved information can remain available if a network connection is temporarily unavailable.
For signed-in users, ConcordMeds also synchronises the medication record with Google Firebase Cloud Firestore. Cloud medication data is associated with the authenticated ConcordMeds account.
Earlier versions of the app may have used local application preferences for medication storage. ConcordMeds migrates eligible legacy data into the current authenticated storage system and removes the legacy copy after successful migration.
How we use app information
ConcordMeds uses account, care-profile, and medication information to provide medication reconciliation features, maintain a consolidated medication record, identify unresolved reconciliation items such as conflicting information, create doctor-visit reports, and synchronise your information across supported app sessions.
ConcordMeds organises medication information. It does not advise starting, stopping, or changing medication. Medication decisions should be confirmed with a doctor, pharmacist, or other appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
Early-access communications
We use early-access email addresses to manage registration and to contact users about ConcordMeds product availability, testing opportunities, launch updates, or closely related service information.
Where consent is required, ConcordMeds asks for it before adding an address to the early-access list. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
Website analytics and cookies
ConcordMeds uses optional Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website, including which pages are viewed and how visitors interact with the site. Analytics is not loaded unless you choose to allow analytics.
If you allow analytics, Google Analytics may process technical and usage information such as page views, browser or device information, approximate location derived from network information, and interaction data. ConcordMeds uses this information to understand website performance and improve its content and services.
Your analytics preference is stored in your browser so the website can remember your choice. Declining analytics does not prevent you from using the ConcordMeds website.
Service providers
ConcordMeds uses service providers to operate the website and application. These may include Google Firebase services for authentication, cloud database infrastructure, and related application services, as well as infrastructure and communications providers used to run the ConcordMeds website and early-access programme.
Those providers may process information only as necessary to provide the relevant services to ConcordMeds and are subject to their own applicable privacy and security terms.
Selling personal or health information
ConcordMeds does not sell early-access email addresses or medication information.
Retention
Early-access registration information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to run the waitlist, provide requested communications, meet legal obligations, or resolve legitimate operational issues.
App medication information is retained while it is associated with your ConcordMeds account or until it is deleted through the available account and data controls, subject to any limited retention required for legal, security, or operational reasons.
Deleting your ConcordMeds account and medication data
The ConcordMeds app includes an account-deletion control. Before deletion, the app requires account reauthentication.
When account deletion completes, ConcordMeds clears the medication snapshot stored in the app's secure local storage, the medication record stored in the associated Firestore cloud account, and any remaining legacy local medication snapshot used by an earlier storage version. The Firebase authentication account is then deleted.
Account deletion cannot be undone.
Your choices and privacy requests
You can ask to be removed from the ConcordMeds early-access list, withdraw communication consent, request deletion of waitlist information, or ask a privacy question by emailinghello@concordmeds.com.
For waitlist requests, please contact us from the same email address you used to register so we can identify the correct record.
Security
ConcordMeds uses technical measures intended to protect app information, including authenticated cloud access and secure local medication storage. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as ConcordMeds develops or its data practices change. The date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are published.
